Welcome to full-day Kindergarten at Kilmer Elementary School.  My name is Louise Bos and this is my fifteenth year of teaching Kindergarten at Kilmer and my sixteenth year in the Lewis Palmer School District.  My philosophy for educating Kindergarten students is based on the idea that all children come to school with a certain amount of academic and social readiness for learning, in addition to many individual strengths and experiences on with which to build.  Our Kindergarten program, delivered in a nurturing and caring environment, includes center-based, whole group and small group guided learning activities that challenge your child, while being both fun and developmentally appropriate.  Kindergarten age children have a strong, innate curiosity about the world around them.  My goal is to help your child develop the needed skills and concepts that will perpetuate that curiosity while fostering a love for learning that will follow them throughout their school career.
